KAP Film Village Resort opens in Igbojaye, Oyo State, promising tourism growth, film production, and cultural revival with Kunle Afolayan’s bold vision
Saturday April 12th was special to the creative and tourism industries in South West Nigeria.

It was the day the much-awaited KAP Film Village and Resort joined the growing list of nature-themed film resorts around Lagos – Oyo state axis.
Tucked away on several acres of land in Igbojaye in the North of Oyo State, KAP film Village is the brain child of famous filmmaker and culturalist, Kunle Afolayan.
And what a grand opening it was especially with the presence of dignitaries like the Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Ecinomi, Hannatu Musawa.
We are creating not just a location for film, but a destination that celebrates Nigerian culture and talent.
Other dignitaries included the DG of Nationsl Film and Videos Censors Board, Dr. Shaibu Husseini; DG of National Institute for Hospitality & Tourism, Aare Abisoye Fagade; former governorship candidate in Lagos State, Dr. Jide Adediran (Jandor) and former House of Representatives member, Hon. Shina Peller, among several Nollywood stars.
The dream, according to Afolayan, started five years ago and has taken almost four years to built, while playing host to the shoot of a few landmark movies like Anikukapo series.

The resort has since fully opened for film productions, get-away resort exoeriences with exquisite lodging and dining facilities as well as nature watch, hiking and several adventures.
